Dog Sled Demo/Tri-Lake Trial by Matthew C

Today we did two things; we went to a sled dog demonstration and then we went on a trail called Tri-lake Trail. Both were fun but I liked the dog sled demonstration better because it reminded me of my sister because she loves dogs so I really enjoyed it for her. While I was there I interviewed a woman who was working there named Julie Carpenter. She grew up in New Jersey and moved here two months ago for her job. She is a kennel trainee and is going to become the dog trainer. She had always wanted to work with animals and she saw this job on a website and came right out and got the job!! Exciting right?!?!

The other thing we did was the hike and that was quite long and boring for my group but the group behind me saw a bear thirty yards away from them on some railroad tracks. The only cool thing I saw was two beavers building a dam. The lakes were really pretty but there was a mile in between each lake so it was quite a long hike but it was pretty so it was worth it.

We are doing a talent show tonight and my van and I are singing a remix of Katy Parry’s song “I Kissed A Girl”. It is going to be fun, the whole talent show is going to be fun and I don’t know if they’re going to video tape it but I really hope they’re going to so all of you back home can see how much fun we’re having!!!
