Alaska Is

Before I came to Alaska I thought it was all snow and snow covered mountains. Now that I have come it’s the most beautiful thing you will ever see. You look around and there are mountains that aren’t snow covered, they’re covered in green trees! Words can’t explain it. The animals can be so close and it looks like a painting. When the clouds are high and you can see the peeks of the mountains. The look takes your breath away! Alaska is beautiful!

Final Reflections

We’ve spent 3 ½ weeks together thousands of miles away from home. Throughout this trip we have all grown closer together. We know more about our selves too.
On this trip there are 75 people. That means 75 mouths to feed and 74 other people to look out for, It is not just about taking care of your self. You learn how to take care of the people in your van, in your tent, and in your committee. It’s a group effort to prepare meals and keep each other’s minds off home. Everyone begins to count on you and you count on him or her. We are a family. After this trip most of us will stick together but some will drift apart. We will never be together like this again; this is truly a once in a life time opportunity.
