Alaska Is

Alaska is a peaceful, beautiful land undiscovered of its true full beauty. Its mountains piled upon rows and rows of more mountains. It’s more than any other type of state, it’s the last frontier and it’s one of a kind. Alaska falls nothing short of wonderful.

Final Reflections

Alaska was full of mistakes, learning, leading, screwing up, fixing it, being myself, meeting new friends, becoming close with people I never would have guessed, and most of all having a great time that I wouldn’t take back for anything. I can not express how lucky I am to of had the chance to come back as a junior leader and get to experience Alaska’s beauty all over again. It’s a place unlike any other. It’s a state that I can’t even begin to describe. Yea it’s cold and rainy on some days, but it’s the people that you’re with that make the trip. It’s that close bond that you form with your van from being with them for long car rides on end. Or the kids in your committee that you spend hours with over the trip making the website its best. But what is closer is that bond of no one being left out or forgotten. One thing AGLP is known for is not letting anyone feel left out, and us junior leaders strive to not let that happen everyday. I’ve made so many close bonds with kids and adults I never even knew before this trip. This trip was full of an amazing group of people, and I’m so glad that I was able to spend my sophomore summer here and make those close bonds with these people.
