Today we took off in our vans to go to Hatcher’s pass, which was previously covered in snow, but this time there wasn’t any snow, so we were able to explore the mine. I went up to the main building and looked for someone to interview.Within a couple of minutes I found someone that looked like they wanted to talk. I walked up to Gary and asked him for permission to interview him and also if it was alright if I could publish it on the website. He told me that he had 3 children. All of his children are girls and they are 36, 33, and 30. The most interesting part of the interview was that he told me that he worked with nuclear power as his career. HE then told me that he got his training from what the navy provided him with. He said that he worked for many years on a submarine that was fueled by nuclear energy. I then asked him what his favorite part of his vacation was, and he told me that he loved going into Denali and seeing the animals. He told me that he went on the same bus tour as we did and he also got super lucky and saw the mountain. I would like to wish Gary a safe trip home, as he is leaving tomorrow to go back home to Illinois.
